Yes, We Can Use Volunteers at Our Horse / Equine Rescue Center!
Everyone on staff here is an unpaid volunteer. As you can imagine, with a large contingent of equine animals to take care of, we are constantly shorthanded and in need of any volunteered time you can provide. Many of our volunteers are kids on break from school during the spring and summer, leaving us without their valuable help the rest of the year.
The lifeblood of our staff is volunteerism. If you can lend us a hand with anything, please print a Volunteer form and bring it to our facility. You don’t have to be a full-time volunteer – any time you can lend would be invaluable to the horses and staff. If you’re wondering when the best time to help is, we are always most in need of volunteers during the winter months, but we can use your assistance any time of the year.
You don’t need to be a trained professional to help! We can always use assistance in the following barn maintenance areas, and we can train you how to do these jobs:
- Feeding and watering
- Stall cleaning
- Animal turn-out/ turn-in
- Tack cleaning
- Barn sweeping
- Ground raking
Donating Professional Services
If you have a professional service you can donate, even if it is just your time, we are always looking for help to maintain our facility. If you are a professional roofer, builder, carpenter, plumber or any other kind of profession that can help us, you are more than welcome to talk to our staff and let them know how you can help out.
